15 weeks and counting… slowly

I had my 15 week prenatal check yesterday.  All is well.  Gained a pound.  I had lost a couple at my last appointment, so it’s all good.  I never start gaining (really gaining weight) until the end of the 2nd trimester, so I’m enjoying this time of not feeling huge quite yet.  Baby’s heart beat was great and easy to find.  Sean and Mia got to go to the appointment with me and they enjoyed hearing the baby’s heart too.  When the doctor got out the machine to listen to the baby’s heart, Mia thought it was a microphone and she said, “microphone sing?”.  Then when we were listening to the heartbeat, Mia was asking me , “does that hurt?”.

This pregnancy seems to be going so slooooooow.  The (big) ultrasound is scheduled for May 5th.  I’ll be about 20 weeks along by then.  We should find out then if we’re having another boy or another girl.  I keep going back and forth on whether I think it’s a girl or boy.  My food tastes are similar to when I was pregnant with Mia… not wanting much meat, mostly salads and carbs.  But I keep getting all pimply (yeah, not so fun) like when I was pregnant with Sean.  Soooo…  I don’t know.  If it’s a boy, we’ll name him Columbo Claybourne.  If it’s a girl, we’ll name her Juniper Vermillion.   But we’re open to other suggestions. 🙂
